Third stage is to let the walking sticks dry. This reduces weight yet retains their strength. This takes a few days to over a week depending on moisture content. Just a few more steps to go.

Second stage of making walking sticks - stripping the bark.

Downed tree at the cabin so I am making walking sticks. Here is the before picture. When I finish I will post the end result.
