Week in Review 3-8-19

This week we have a couple interesting stories on the importance and benefits of medical centers and clinics in your community – and yeah beyond the whole saving your life in an emergency sense. A resiliency story from Norfolk VA. Fees vs taxes what is in a name. An Indiana study reveals local communities may not be prepared for an economic downturn. Eliminating local govt entities in Illinois. No vegetable gardens in front yards.

The main story I want to discuss is about the ubiquitous plastic straw – which really is a proxy fight in the battle against pollution, climate change, local control and corporate greed.
